Rutland County, Democrat, was born
on April 19, 1946 in Hartford,
Connecticut. He is a self-employed
arborist. He was educated at Avon
High School, Avon, CT; Tufts
University, Medford, Massachusetts
(B.A., 1968). He is married to Ann
Mangan French and they have three
daughters. He is the Town Moderator;
M.C. of Town Variety Shows; Local
Auctioneer; Former Basketball Coach
– Shrewsbury Mountain School; and
former President and Treasurer of
Shrewsbury Nursery School. Member of
