MARGARET "PEG" ANDREWS of Rutland City, Rutland County, Democrat, was born on June 6, 1947, and has been a resident of present town since 1986. GALE P. COURCELLE of Rutland City, Rutland County, Democrat, was born in Buffalo, New York, on November 29, 1943. She was raised and educated in the Buffalo area moving to Rutland in 1968. She graduated from SUNY at Alfred (AAS), from SUNY at Buffalo (B.E.), and Castleton State College (M.E.). Gale taught Health and Physical Education grades K-12 in the Rutland Public School system until retirement after 20 years. She coached Tennis and Field Hockey and served on the teacher’s certification committee. She is married to Justin R. Courcelle and they have 2 grown sons and two grandchildren. She volunteers with the Rutland Garden Club to help maintain the downtown gardens. She is a member of the USTA and plays league tennis in Vermont and New England.
